NVIDIA Adds Four Open-Weight Checkpoints to Cosmos 3 for Interactive Simulation

NVIDIA has added four open-weight checkpoints to its Cosmos 3 model family for interactive world simulation and multi-sensor driving scenes. The 16B-parameter post-trained models cover multi-view driving data, streaming camera and LiDAR observations, simulator-control-to-video generation, and video prediction from robot or camera actions. They use OpenMDW1.1, which permits commercial and non-commercial use under its terms.

Tencent Releases Hy4 With Image Understanding and Computer Use

Tencent has released Hy4, adding image understanding and software control to its language model; its weights are planned for release later, on an unspecified date. Tencent reports gains on finance and research tasks, while Artificial Analysis scores Hy4 at 35 on its Intelligence Index and finds it makes up unknown answers 89 percent of the time in its AA-Omniscience test. Tencent says Hy4 still trails leading commercial models on advanced math, longer coding projects, and complex image analysis.

Microsoft Research Shows How PDD Kit Formally Verifies Agent-Written Web Apps

Microsoft Research presents PDD Kit, a research prototype that turns reviewed intent into Verus specifications and checks agent-written Rust code against them, using tests for behavior outside the proof. In a roughly 5,000-line Pet Store app, the team formally verified the login logic and tested trusted components such as database lookups and password checking. PDD Kit currently verifies Rust, and the post describes its trusted assumptions and limits.

Axiom Math Formally Verifies the Stacks Project with AI Agents

Axiom Math says it has formally verified the Stacks Project, an open-source mathematics reference started by Johan de Jong in 2005. The company’s agents translated roughly 7,654 pages into about 16 million lines of Lean code, checked line by line by a proof assistant. Axiom says the verified results give researchers a foundation for future work in algebraic geometry and could also support software built by AI agents.

OpenAI’s GPT-6 Astra Underperformed on Safety Research Tasks

The Decoder reports that OpenAI’s GPT-6 Astra completed about 10 percent of evaluation criteria when identical coding tasks were framed as safety research, compared with 16 percent under general AI research framing. OpenAI researchers traced the gap to training factors, including a dataset whose removal eliminated it in Astra, though the same dataset did not reproduce the issue in other models. OpenAI says it is working on better evaluations and monitoring.
