AWS Shows Four Context Engineering Practices for Production AI Agents

AWS Machine Learning Blog authors demonstrated four layers of context engineering in Deep Insight, an open-source data analysis solution built with the Strands Agents SDK and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore. The practices cover isolating context across agents, setting prompt rules, using filesystem-based tools and notes, and adding independent verification safeguards. In the reference implementation, a combined write-and-execute tool reduces the tokens added by each script by about 95 percent. Loading skills on demand reduces the system prompt by about 97 percent.
