The New York Times, the New York Daily News, the Chicago Tribune and the Orlando Sentinel have sued Brave Software, alleging the browser maker scraped their content to train AI and let users bypass their paywalls, Reuters reported. The complaint says Brave sold AI companies paid access to its index and names Anthropic, Perplexity, Mistral, xAI and Cohere. An NYT spokesperson said Brave ignored requests to stop. Perplexity's communications chief criticized the suit, according to The Verge.
