The story so far

RoboParty has released RP1, a 135 cm humanoid robot with 24- and 30-degree-of-freedom configurations, and opened applications for beta co-development. The company presents RP1 as a full-stack open-source research platform, with published resources including URDF, MJCF and mesh models, plus motion retargeting and control tools. The current open-source scope covers parts of System0’s basic motion control and supporting infrastructure, including hhtools, MimicLite and UFO. System1 and System2, intended for intent representation and agent skill orchestration, remain in research. Some CAD, BOM and circuit board manufacturing files remain internal engineering records, with availability dependent on the repository. The beta co-development program targets developers and teams with concrete project needs who are willing to participate in ongoing product iteration. Participants can report problems and submit issues, and RoboParty offers them beta co-development pricing.
