Anonymous GET, ready to use
No token needed. Browser cross-origin requests, curl and standard HTTP clients work directly. The base path is /api/v1. For fields and error codes, see OpenAPI.
Content language
This site's content is published natively in English, but v1 JSON retains a Chinese compatibility default. items, hot-topics, stories, dailies, selected/snapshot and selected/changes accept lang=en or lang=zh. Omitting it requests Chinese; unavailable translations may fall back to the original language, so check contentLanguage. Examples below explicitly select the page language; keep it unchanged when paging or syncing.
weeklies and monthlies indexes and details do not accept lang and return the original stored language. For Chinese editions, subscribe to /feed/v2/zh/weekly.xml or /feed/v2/zh/monthly.xml.
Article Markdown exports at /items/{id}/markdown default to English. Add ?lang=zh for Chinese (lang=en is also accepted). This is separate from the Chinese /api/v1/agent guide listed below.
curl --compressed 'https://e-acc.ai/api/v1/items?mode=selected&window=24h&limit=20&lang=en'Filter by category
Add category to news requests to fetch one category; omit it for all categories. Returned items use the same category values listed below.
| Category | Request parameter |
|---|---|
| AI models | category=ai-models |
| AI products | category=ai-products |
| Industry news | category=industry |
| Research | category=paper |
| Tutorials | category=tip |
| Opinion | category=opinion |
Use less, get results faster
- 01Enable compression
In curl, add
--compressed; in other clients, enable gzip or br. Compressed JSON is only 1/4 to 1/8 of its original size. - 02Send ETag
Save the response ETag and send it next time with
If-None-Match. Unchanged content returns 304 with no body. - 03Match the update schedule
Poll news and trending no more than once a minute. Fetch daily briefings after publication (Daily at 08:00), and weekly or monthly briefings once per issue. Stop paging back when you reach an item you already have.
News arrives throughout the day; picks update a few to dozens of times daily. Briefings publish Daily at 08:00, Mondays at 10:00 and the first of each month at 10:30 respectively (UTC+8).

Common workflows
# First request: save the ETag response header
curl --compressed -i 'https://e-acc.ai/api/v1/items?mode=selected&window=24h&limit=20&lang=en'
# Then poll at most once a minute with ETag; 304 means no change
curl --compressed -i -H 'If-None-Match: <previous ETag>' 'https://e-acc.ai/api/v1/items?mode=selected&window=24h&limit=20&lang=en'To page back, pass page.nextCursor back as cursor. Stop at an item you already have; don't rescan all seven days every time.
Errors and recovery
- 400
- Invalid parameters: correct them using OpenAPI and the returned code. Don't broaden the query automatically. An invalid cursor or one outside the time window returns invalid_cursor; restart from the first page.
- 409
- snapshot_required: changes can't safely continue. Take a new complete snapshot.
- 429
- Too many requests: wait for Retry-After. Don't retry in parallel.
- 5xx
- Use exponential backoff and the last successful result. The public service offers no SLA.
