### [2026-10-17: NVIDIA and AI4Bharat Introduce Nemotron-pretraining-Indic-v1 and an Open Data Generation Pipeline](https://e-acc.ai/daily/2026-10-17)

NVIDIA and AI4Bharat at IIT Madras introduce Nemotron-pretraining-Indic-v1, approximately 2.8 trillion tokens across 22 Indian languages, releasing soon alongside its open, GPU-accelerated generation pipeline. The corpus includes native-script text for all 22 languages and romanized text for twelve, translated from curated English sources with quality checks and source tracing. An Indic continued-pretraining stage improved five reported benchmarks, but combined synthetic and natural data, so the comparison does not isolate this corpus’s contribution.

Each agent gets its own short-lived sandbox and commits to a shared repo on S3, with fewer than 2% of submissions colliding. Agents search with plain `ls` and `grep`, which Srinivas reports beats semantic search 63% vs 37% on answer accuracy for financial document analysis.

- [Meta’s New Business Terms Raise Dispute Over Website Crawling and AI Training Rights](https://e-acc.ai/story/6cee8ab0-4343-4662-a0fd-443efad95765): Meta has updated its commercial terms, effective October 30, to authorize crawling and use of content from websites associated with business accounts, prompting a dispute over whether the permissions extend to AI training on publishers’ sites. The terms cover businesses promoting content across Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger and say Meta can use associated website content to “develop, improve, research,” and “train” its AI products. Businesses cannot opt out of the terms while continuing commercial use of Meta’s services; the terms direct those that disagree to stop that use. Legal experts cited in the reporting said the language could let Meta argue that contractual permission overrides website blocking instructions such as robots.txt, though whether courts would enforce that interpretation is unclear. Ars Technica found that the update grants broader permissions than Meta’s existing advertising terms. Meta disputes the broad AI-training interpretation, saying the update concerns product information for advertising and content recommendations, its crawler practices are unchanged, and content owners can still block crawling through robots.txt.

- [Black Forest Labs Releases FLUX 3 Image Klein With Open Weights and Consumer GPU Support](https://e-acc.ai/story/37b8c997-48d0-4904-ae95-3a30b9053b11): Black Forest Labs has released FLUX 3 Image Klein, a 5.6-billion-parameter open-weights model for image generation and editing, with launch-day support in Hugging Face Diffusers and vLLM-Omni. The Decoder reported that the model supports up to ten reference images and native 4K output, while its INT8 build runs on NVIDIA GPUs with 8 GB of VRAM and generates an image in under 9 seconds on an RTX 4070. The weights use the FLUX Kommunity License, which permits free commercial use for companies making under $5 million annually. Diffusers supports text-to-image generation, multi-reference image-to-image generation and bounding-box layout control. Its available checkpoints include a distilled model using 16 steps without classifier-free guidance and a base model using 50 steps with it. Hugging Face reported that the distilled model generated a 1024 × 1024 image in 1.93 seconds on an H100 in its benchmark, and provides quantized loading examples and LoRA training scripts. The vLLM team said it worked with Black Forest Labs and NVIDIA to add vLLM-Omni support, including BF16, FP8 and NVFP4 checkpoints. NVIDIA said the model was trained on its GB200 NVL72 hardware and can run on an RTX GPU.
