The story so far

Mistral AI said its models are now in orbit as part of Orbitworks and Loft Orbital’s AI satellite constellation, which uses NVIDIA infrastructure. Loft Orbital said Orbitworks launched Altair, the first satellite in the planned 50-satellite constellation, a few weeks earlier. Loft Orbital said the constellation will enable users to receive AI-generated alerts within minutes, with NVIDIA infrastructure supporting models such as Mistral’s Ministral 3. The alert capability is a stated goal for the constellation.
