We’re excited to announce a new collaboration with Liva AI to add even more private data with two new accents: Egyptian 🇪🇬 and Nigerian 🇳🇬.
What happened
Hugging Face is adding private Egyptian and Nigerian English speech data to the Open ASR Leaderboard through a collaboration with Liva AI. The two conversational splits contain 1.34 and 1.55 hours of spontaneous speech, respectively. The leaderboard will also report US versus non-US accents and Inner Circle versus Outer and Expanding Circles in its Private tab.

Hugging Face is adding private Egyptian and Nigerian English speech data to the Open ASR Leaderboard through a collaboration with Liva AI. The two conversational splits contain 1.34 hours of Egyptian English and 1.55 hours of Nigerian English spontaneous speech. In the leaderboard’s Private tab, results will also be reported by US versus non-US accents and by Inner Circle versus Outer and Expanding Circles.
