Airbnb adds AI search, more social features
What happened
Airbnb added AI search in its fall product update, letting users find listings by text or voice. The interface dynamically creates filters based on preferences; for example, entering 'baby' brings up cribs, playgrounds, children's books, and toys. The platform also uses AI to summarize listing features and lets users compare wish-list properties using AI-generated summaries and reviews. Airbnb expanded services introduced last year, including meal delivery, laundry, baby supplies, and ski and boat rentals, and added social features such as maps based on friends' trips.
