TikTok announced on Monday an AI shopping assistant and a new in-app checkout feature that lets users order from brands directly with one tap in the For You feed. The shopping assistant is a conversational AI agent that understands context and remembers user preferences across a chat. It provides real-time guidance on product details, shipping, sizing, and inventory, and helps complete purchases.
