The story so far
Thinking Machines introduced Inkling 2 Small, which scored 31 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index and is available for fine-tuning and inference on Tinker. Thinking Machines says the model’s full weights are coming soon. Artificial Analysis reported that the score is 18 points above Inkling Small and that Inkling 2 Small uses about four times as many output tokens per task. It described the model as proprietary on Tinker and Tinker Playground, and said an Apache 2.0 weights release is planned for a later, unconfirmed date.
