Nvidia on Thursday launched new open-weight models designed for always-on agents and edge computing.
What happened
Nvidia launched Nemotron 3.5 Super VL, a 120-billion-parameter open-weight model for enterprise agents, alongside lightweight Bolt models for local use on AI PCs and workstations. Nvidia says organizations can post-train Super VL on their own data and deploy it on their own infrastructure, while Bolt models support locally run agents. Super VL and Nemotron 3.5 Bolt 74B-A9B 24GB are available now; the smaller conversational model, Bolt E4B, is due later this month.

The story so far
NVIDIA released Nemotron 3.5 Super VL for enterprise agents and Nemotron 3.5 Bolt 74B-A9B 24GB for local agent tasks, with both now available on Ollama. NVIDIA says the smaller Bolt E4B 4GB model is scheduled for Oct. 23. Super VL has 120 billion total parameters, with 12 billion active per token, and combines reasoning and tool use with text, image, document and video understanding. NVIDIA released its weights, datasets and training recipes, and says organizations can further train it on their own data and deploy it on their own infrastructure. vLLM added launch-day support and lists a 1-million-token context window. Red Hat AI also released open FP8 and DSpark optimized checkpoints. Bolt 74B-A9B uses native 2-bit quantization to fit in 24GB of memory. NVIDIA says it is optimized for RTX Spark and designed to run alongside other applications. It is also available on Hugging Face, with support for llama.cpp, LM Studio, Unsloth and vLLM.
