What happened
Apple closed at a $5.005 trillion market capitalization after its shares rose 0.5% to $342.96, becoming the second publicly traded company after NVIDIA to close above $5 trillion. Separately, Mark Gurman reportedly said Apple plans to launch Apple Intelligence in mainland China this December with iOS 27.3. Initial features are expected to include Genmoji, notification summaries, writing tools, and Clean Up, while the upgraded Siri AI is expected to be excluded.
