What happened
The 2026 Physical AI and World Model Conference opened in Nanjing on October 20, bringing together researchers and industry leaders to discuss how AI can understand and operate in the physical world. Three Turing Award winners—Yann LeCun, Yao Qizhi and John Hopcroft—shared video presentations. Jiangsu also released a plan for high-quality datasets and 50 typical application scenarios, and a 5 billion yuan investment fund focused on world model technologies was announced.
