Meshy launches Meshy Edit for localized 3D model changes using text instructions

What happened

Meshy launched Meshy Edit, powered by a new in-house AI model, to let users select a 3D model region and describe changes in a sentence, generating a new model in about a minute while leaving unselected areas unchanged. Available to all registered users, each edit costs 20 credits and supports high-resolution models generated by Meshy 6 and Meshy 7.1. Users can attach up to 5 reference images; textured models automatically switch to an untextured version for editing.

Powered by a new in-house AI model, the feature generates a revised model in about a minute while leaving unselected areas unchanged, according to Meshy. Meshy Edit supports high-resolution models generated by Meshy 6 and Meshy 7.1, and users can attach up to five reference images. For models with textures, the system automatically switches to an untextured version for editing.
