Microsoft AI releases new transcription and text-to-speech models for voice agents
What happened
Microsoft AI released MAI-Transcribe-2-Streaming, a real-time transcription model supporting 60 languages. Its first partial results arrive in just over 100 milliseconds. Microsoft says it ranks first for accuracy on Artificial Analysis; audio costs $0.54 per hour through the end of the year.
