Clément Delangue highlighted Google’s Embedding Gemma 2 as trending on Hugging Face and called for more attention to AI models beyond reasoning large language models. Delangue said media and Silicon Valley discussions focus on reasoning LLMs while overlooking useful models for embeddings, decision-making, audio, video and time-series tasks. He cited more than 3 million public models on Hugging Face to illustrate the variety available.
