What happened

Simon Willison built experimental tool Photo Scrubber with GPT-6 Astra. It detects and blurs faces automatically and removes photo metadata. It uses Google's MediaPipe C++ library compiled to WebAssembly through @mediapipe/tasks-vision and the BlazeFace face-detection model. All processing happens locally.
