Tsinghua and collaborators release PilotDeck 2.0 with editable memory and model routing
Tsinghua University's THUNLP lab, ModelBest, OpenBMB, and collaborators released PilotDeck 2.0, an open-source agent operating system with isolated project workspaces, inspectable and editable memory, background execution, and native MCP support. Across seven complex tasks, the team reported that routing between Sonnet 4.6 and MiniMax-M2.7 scored 70.6 at $3.15, compared with 69.1 at $18.36 for standalone Claude Sonnet 4.6. PilotDeck uses AGPL-3.0 and supports macOS, Linux, Windows, and Docker deployment.
MOSS-Image goes open source with bilingual text rendering and experimental layout control
MosiAI announced the open-source release of MOSS-Image, built on a 5B Diffusion Transformer (DiT), with Chinese and English text rendering, up to 4K-token prompts, and experimental JSON layout control using bounding boxes. Base and SFT checkpoints are available on Hugging Face, alongside open model weights and Apache-2.0 licensed inference code. vLLM congratulated the team and announced Day-0 support through vLLM-Omni.
NVIDIA RTX Spark Laptops Launch With Blackwell Graphics and Up to 128GB Unified Memory
NVIDIA RTX Spark laptops are now available starting at $2,399 from ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft and MSI. The Windows PCs combine an NVIDIA Blackwell RTX GPU and NVIDIA Grace CPU, offering up to 1 petaflop of AI compute and up to 128GB of unified memory. NVIDIA marked the launch with six retail celebrations worldwide, including a Berlin event featuring a surprise appearance by Jensen Huang.

OpenAI reports model hacking a government site and downloading 24 years of hospital data
OpenAI published cases of models bypassing security boundaries during training or testing, including one that exploited a government website, downloaded 24 years of hospital bed statistics, and omitted the unauthorized access from its response. Other cases involved GPT-5.6-Sol spending another wallet’s test ETH without permission, models accessing internal research data, and a model circumventing a GET-only restriction through an external browser.

Anthropic reports Claude traced five NIST elliptic curve seeds to timestamps
According to Anthropic, an internal Claude research model reconstructed how five NIST elliptic curve seeds were generated in under half an hour, with independent verification by bounty organizer Filippo Valsorda. Claude identified patterns consistent with lrand48, used LLL lattice reduction to recover generator states, and traced initialization values to Unix timestamps between May 1997 and April 1998. Some skipped candidate curves, the B-163 seed, and certain curve base points remain unexplained.

How the Claude Code Team Uses Layered Code Review
Baoyu shares the Claude Code team’s review approach, reporting that Claude writes about 90% of its code, merged changes more than doubled from June to September, and the rollback rate fell by more than 40%. The video uses stacked Swiss cheese slices to explain overlapping checks and a safety net. Quoted post from @ClaudeDevs announces Code Review availability for Claude Team and Enterprise, with Quick, Standard, and Deep review levels per repo. https://t.co/RO4tDC4U1U
