AI overview

Photos showing Jeff Bezos and Jason Statham with fuller hair are edited images, not evidence that either had a hair transplant. The Verge’s Jess Weatherbed used Google reverse image search to trace the Bezos image to an unaltered 2023 photo and the Statham image to paparazzi photos from 2011. Weatherbed could not establish who altered the images, when the edits first appeared, or whether AI tools were involved.
