The story so far
Uber is rolling out ChatGPT Work to its entire global workforce, which OpenAI puts at more than 30,000 employees, expanding a partnership that began with a 1,000-employee pilot earlier this year. OpenAI says the tool supports research, data analysis, presentation creation, and complex workflows. About 80% of pilot participants were non-engineers, who used it for operational data analysis, training localization, and personalized interactive dashboards, according to TechCrunch. Uber told TechCrunch it would track employee usage and workflow outcomes to guide further deployment. OpenAI’s Greg Brockman said the company worked closely with Uber on the rollout, describing it as bringing agentic capabilities to the whole company.
