OpenAI acquires drug development coordination platform Orchestra Bio for undisclosed terms
What happened
OpenAI announced on October 20 that it acquired Orchestra Bio, a platform that helps biopharma teams coordinate drug development, with financial terms undisclosed. Its team and technology will join Rosalind, OpenAI’s life sciences AI models and tools. Orchestra uses AI agents to identify disrupted dependencies and timelines and compare responses, leaving decisions to scientists and project leads; continued access for existing customers and an integration timeline were not disclosed.
