Astra handled enclosure design, PCB layout, firmware, and the user interface, but several prototype revisions were needed to address manufacturing constraints. OpenAI also reported BenchCAD 2.0 scores of 0.594 for GPT-6 Astra and 0.875 for an unnamed internal model.
