What happened
Alibaba Cloud supported the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games with cloud and AI services, including a dedicated cloud platform for Senegal. After the event, the platform is set to be transferred to Senegal and become a “national cloud” for local digital services. Alibaba Cloud executive Liu Guohua said its international private-cloud business grew nearly twofold in the first half, while accounting for less than 5% of overall business and receiving close to 50% of the department’s resources.
