Perplexity announced that Computer can now run fully locally in its Mac app, with both the model and agent running on the user’s Mac. The company said Computer can work with native Mac apps and local files and carry out tasks without sending sensitive data to the cloud. Aravind Srinivas said the local operation requires no cloud-based inference and works even without Wi-Fi.
